Amazing birthday celebration for my husband! I am beyond thrilled to write this review. I was looking for something different, to invite friends somewhere nice and share a new experience. I found the Chevin, conveniently located in Otley, amidst a beautiful park. They were hosting a Murder Mystery event with the highly rated Murder One events company, and I thought this was the perfect type of party for my husband’s birthday! Tyran, the hotel’s event manager, was absolutely fantastic at helping me with tickets for our friends and my booking. He made sure we had the right cabin and all the support I needed. We brought our puppy and she absolutely loved the cabin and surroundings. The event was fantastic, the food was delicious and we were all very entertained. We will definitely return and I really cannot recommend this place highly enough. We stayed in a Woodland cabin which was spacious and cosy! There are also cabins with hot tubs which I am very keen to try next time. Perfect little staycation right in Otley, near pubs and restaurants.

My sister & I had a 3 night stay last weekend. The staff were really friendly and polite. The room was lovely & spacious but a tad cold.( saying that it was at the back end if January) They brought us robes, slippers and a addional heater which made a difference. Tracy & Sue on reception were very friendly as were Kelly & Mackensie in the dining room. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choices. The yoghurt pots were yummy The cooked breakfast was tasty but the ash browns tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. We had some bar snacks which were nice. It's our 5th stay so they are obviously doing something right. It could just do with a bit of money spending on it. Also in the spa.

What an AMAZING stay we had for our wedding weekend! After being initially let down by our previous accommodation nearby for our upcoming wedding at Chilli Barn, we reached out to the Chevin and were able to book lodges and hotel rooms for our guests. My husband was put in touch with Ty (who was amazing!). Every little query or change was dealt with so fast, and he couldn't do enough for us. I will admit, I was hesitant due to the previous reviews about the hotel, but after all the stressing, the stay was incredible! All our guests said what a beautiful place it was and how lovely the rooms/lodges were. I had hired the Bronte Lodge for me and my bridesmaids to use, which was perfect! The staff couldn't have been better. Bringing the pastries and extra coffees in the morning was such a lovely touch - the hot tub was a perfect end the night before the wedding. We honestly couldn't fault the place! That first walk as a married couple, surrounded by the beautiful natural scenery, was incredibly picturesque. I highly recommend this place, and I can't wait to come back for our anniversary. If you are planning to make a booking, ignore the reviews and just soak up the beautiful scenery around you. Thank you so much The Horans! X

We were a little apprehensive before arriving because of some of the reviews we’d read, but honestly our stay was nowhere near as bad as expected. In fact, we ended up having a really enjoyable visit. The rooms do definitely need a refurb and there is a slightly fusty smell to them, which is noticeable when you first walk in. That said, everything was clean and comfortable enough for our stay. The food was lovely and exceeded our expectations, and the staff were absolutely wonderful throughout — friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, which really made a difference to the overall experience. The hot tub was one of the best I’ve been in and was a real highlight of the trip. The spa area itself, however, does need some refurbishment. The jacuzzi especially could do with updating, and the flooring in the spa was covered in green slippery slime in places, so it definitely needs a thorough clean as it felt unsafe underfoot. Although the hotel is far from perfect, don’t let the bad reviews put you off. Because of them I wasn’t actually looking forward to going, but we were pleasantly surprised and still had a lovely stay overall.

Just fancyed a cheeky night away and this place looked interesting. ROOM: Standard Double, clean tidy, cosy. Had everything you could really need for a stop over. Slight noise from people in corridors and upstairs BUT it's a wooden cabin and nothing that would keep most people awake. LOCATION: Nice sheltered woodland area peaceful on the whole (you will hear the anes if the take off north, its not bad just something you might want to make a note of) Very nice place not as big as I imagined but also nice woods just down road for those who love a trek. SERVICES: Staff all very welcoming, I didn't make use of the spa or pool so I can't comment but they are available. Bar area small the restaurant is a good size, didn't have a evening meal as I had just been to best chippy around. The full English was a disappointment small and more like a super market cafe. THEY do have other options so I can't mark the place down just on my first visit. Overall its a nice place and good for a passing stay, for me it didn't wow me but its worth a try for sure. I WILL return to try a bigger lodge. (but skip adding breakfast)

Chevin Country Park Hotel has aspirations it doesn't quite seem to achieve. On the plus side, the family room we had was nothing short of spectacular, with a huge vaulted ceiling and a Swiss-chalet kind of vibe. This could be an amazing hotel but it does need some updating to really achieve that. The bathrooms are tired and badly need renovation, with feebly weak showers, with those plastic sports-hall taps. Prices are pretty extortionate for food and drinks, I paid the best part of £20 for a very average chicken dish, and my kids had pizzas that despite the (stone-baked) claim, clearly came out of a cardboard packet. They are experts on pizzas! Similarly priced, too. Beers are going for around £7 a pint and a basic coffees set us back £4.50 each. My advice - avoid the bar and restaurant, we had a fantastic curry in Otley one night, a short drive away or about £5 in a taxi or Uber. The pool is large for a hotel and the spa facilities seem good, although the gym is a bit of an add on, with very little room and only a few working machines. The setting is beautiful though, and I would be interested to come back at a warmer sunnier time of year. In conclusion - fantastic rooms, tired out bathrooms, unjustifiably overpriced food and drink.

When we first visited Chevin and met Tyran we knew immediately this was where we wanted to get married. The location was absolute stunning and was exactly the kind of vibe we wanted our wedding to be. Tyran was absolutely incredible the whole step of the way while we planned our wedding and we cannot thank him enough. He made everything so easy, responded my 700 questions and always made sure we were looked after when we came to visit. The team on the day were just wonderful. Michael found me panicking slightly on the morning of our wedding and just took over to make sure I could go get ready and start enjoying my day. He made sure everything was taken care of, and that I didn’t worry for the rest of the day. McKenzie was an absolute stand out, not just for our wedding but for our entire stay. He was the energy we needed for our evening reception, again nothing was too much hassle, and I’ve never seen anyone manifest a sambuca shot as quickly as he did when I mentioned I was nervous about my speech. Both Michael and McKenzie made an effort to come find us for the rest of our stay to check in and I just cannot thank them enough or express my gratitude for how amazing they made our day. We stayed at the Chevin for a week in total and everyone we spoke to our whole stay was lovely. As always, our cabin was stunning and beautifully decorated by Tyran with fresh flowers and fairy lights for our special stay. The spa was incredible when we had a much needed relaxation day after the wedding. Lisa was lovely at breakfast every day, especially when our entire wedding party took over the restaurant one morning! Nothing was too much trouble and she was incredible every time we saw her. I will never be able to explain how grateful I am to the entire team, who are nothing short of remarkable. This wasn’t our first stay and absolutely won’t be our last!

Two night stay with work Hotel is mixture of rooms and cabins stayed in a spacious cabin just on edge of woodland. The location is rural but only 5 minutes from both Otley and Bradford airport andwith local walks around the site. The hotel staff were all helpful and friendly. The restaurant overlooked a lake which again was lovely and the food was excellent. The hotel also has pool and spa facilities available which were clean and fresh offering a chance to relax/unwind in fabulous surroundings. A fantastic venue to get away from the hustle and bustle of the usual city hotels.
